The Ship That Sails

Progress
September thru October 2002

Greg picks up 7,400 pounds of aluminum at Louisiana just after hurricane Lily pounds the area. This brings the aluminum total to 14, 500 pounds. Another 5,000 pounds will be needed to complete the deck, mast and miscellaneous.

Production came to a standstill while welding systems were being upgraded to the latest electronic inverter style system.

Work will continue this winter on the lifting keel superstructure (which will weigh about 2,200 pounds), rudders, and tying hull radius as weather permits.

Ebay has turned out to be a boat part shopping mall, where everything from throttles to bilge pumps can be found.
